Pneuma (πνεῦμα) is the Greek word for "breath" and is often used in the New Testament to refer to "spirit" or "soul." We create and move because of the divine breath entering us: this is the literal connection that inspires! All of our ministry needs to be divinely "inspired" or "breathed upon" through the Spirit so that we can live out our calling.
The Pneuma Initiative strives to inspire Evergreen churches in every work of the gospel. The Pneuma Endowment Fund (formerly known as the Building Bridges Fund) is the source of this initiative.
